Introduction
Review of China's Elevator Industry over Twenty Years
Details
In the 30 years from 1949 to 1979, a total of about 10,000 elevators were produced and installed in our country. At that time, the elevator products were mainly low-speed direct current elevators and two-speed elevators, and there were no more than 10 manufacturers. Elevator production has grown rapidly in the 20 years since 1979: a total of 288,000 elevators were produced nationwide (including 31,300 escalators and moving walkways), and 2,555 elevators were exported (including 1,703 escalators); the structure of the product has also changed There have been obvious changes: the old DC elevators have been eliminated, AC two-speed elevators and acvv AC speed elevators are gradually replaced by vvvf AC variable frequency and voltage variable speed elevators. The control system has adopted a large number of PLC and microcomputer control technologies. The highest elevators The speed has reached 4m/s; the industry has undergone earth-shaking changes: the production conditions, human quality, and management level of elevator companies have been greatly improved and improved. Shanghai Mitsubishi, Tianjin Otis, China Schindler, Suzhou Schindler, and Guangzhou Hitachi , Xizi Otis and other companies are now comparable to the most advanced elevator companies in the world;
National brands such as Suzhou Jiangnan, Changzhou Feida, Shanghai Holley, Zhejiang Giant, Tianjin Litong, Shandong Best, etc. are also very active in the market and have a certain amount of exports. At present, our country has introduced and transformed advanced technical standards from developed countries, and has become a formal member of the International Organization for Standardization ISO/TC178 Elevator, Escalator and Moving Walk Technical Committee. my country's elevators have formed a complete one-stop service industry of design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning, and maintenance, maintaining the normal operation of 300,000 elevators in use across the country. The annual sales of newly installed elevators exceed 10 billion yuan. With the prosperity of the elevator market, elevator companies have many common problems that need to be communicated and discussed. To this end, the founding meeting of the Elevator Branch of the China Construction Mechanization Association was held in Xi'an in June 1984, which was a milestone in the history of the industry.
It has been 15 years since the elevator industry had its own industry organization for the first time. During this period, industry organizations also continued to develop. After approval by the Ministry of Construction and registration by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the founding meeting of the China Elevator Association was held in Suzhou on July 1, 1992, where a new charter was adopted and a new board of directors was elected. Since then, the association has become a national-level industry organization, which is another milestone in the history of industry development. At present, almost all units in the country engaged in elevator teaching, research, design, production, sales, installation, repair and maintenance have participated in the association, with more than 500 members.
In order to improve my country's elevator management and enable elevators to better serve users, the association actively cooperates and assists the industry authorities of the Ministry of Construction to coordinate relations between all parties, and formulates and promulgates a series of important scientific management regulations; in order to enhance understanding of the world's advanced levels Understand that, we have organized inspections and visits to famous elevator companies, elevator accessories companies, quality inspection and certification agencies and relevant national elevator associations in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Finland, France, Germany, Italy and other countries and regions. Recently In the past three years, three consecutive International Elevator Exhibitions have been successfully held, which has greatly promoted the technological progress and market development of the elevator industry; each professional committee of the association holds various technical and information exchange activities with substantial content every year. Because the association operates in accordance with relevant national regulations and serves the government and enterprises faithfully and enthusiastically, it has been widely praised. In April 1996, the Ministry of Construction awarded the honorary title of "Advanced Society", and in December 1998, the China Association of Industrial Economics awarded and commended the honorary title of "National Advanced Industrial Industry Association". The China Elevator Association is a product of the reform and opening up policy. It is an effective organizational form that promotes the healthy development of the industry and has made due contributions to the prosperity of the elevator market.
When reviewing the development of the elevator industry, we cannot but mention "China Elevator" magazine. This magazine is tied to the fate of the elevator industry. It develops with the development of the elevator industry. It is a showcase for my country's elevator industry, a stage for promoting companies and products, and a platform for introducing various scientific and technological information. The media is a textbook for learning various regulations and standards. It has been officially published as the journal of the China Elevator Association for 10 years and has published 100 issues. It can be said that there are changes and progress every year. It has been rated as an excellent scientific and technological journal by Hebei Province and the Ministry of Construction. It has now become one of the most influential professional journals in the global elevator industry. The progress of the magazine is the result of the specific guidance of the editorial board and the strong support of association members, especially major companies, as well as the diligent and hard work of the editorial department.
The rapid development of the industry in the past 20 years cannot but be attributed to the general policy centered on economic construction established by the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Without large-scale economic construction, there would be no elevator market today, and naturally there would be no elevator industry today. Secondly, it cannot but be attributed to the policy of reform and opening up. Since the official opening of China Schindler in 1980, Tianjin otis, Shanghai Mitsubishi, Suzhou Schindler, Guangzhou Hitachi, Shenyang Toshiba, Guangdong Thyssen, Huasheng Fujitec, Xizi otis, Guangzhou otis, Shanghai Chongyou, Yongda, Kunshan Tongli etc. have been established one after another. So far, almost all of the world's most influential and famous elevator companies have established joint ventures or wholly-owned enterprises in China. Advanced parts joint ventures such as Suzhou Bellinger and Suzhou Silcon have also been established one after another. They The arrival of the elevator has greatly promoted the technological progress of the entire industry. Today, China's elevator market can be said to be the epitome of the world's elevator market, and China's level is the world's level. The elevator industry is what it is today, and the introduction of joint ventures is indispensable.
If we only introduce technology without digesting and absorbing it, we will always be crawling behind others. What is valuable is that in the elevator industry, advanced technology is not only familiar to joint ventures, but also to an increasing number of non-joint ventures. They learned from the strengths of others, processed and transformed them, and formed their own unique new technology. Chinese and foreign elevator companies not only compete with each other but also promote each other in the huge market of China. Some well-known national brands feel like they are overwhelming in front of the world's famous brands, but their improvement and development have really surprised some multinational companies that intend to monopolize the Chinese market. Practice has proved that technological progress has no end, and everyone can enter the market stage. National brands have a weak foundation and a low starting point. In order to survive and develop under very difficult conditions, they naturally have to work twice as hard to go through an arduous road. In turn, it is this spirit of not fearing hardship that has contributed to their success. If today's economic globalization is just complaining, sighing, fantasizing, and waiting, is there any hope for national brands?
The policy of reform and opening up is not only the country's major policy, but also the only way for the industry to prosper. The country cannot close itself off, and companies cannot close their doors. In the past 20 years, my country's elevator industry has held many technology and information exchange activities, and the competition among enterprises in the market has become increasingly fierce. However, the socialist system has created the concept of understanding the general situation and considering the overall situation, and has forged a solid foundation in various activities of the association. Deep friendship, everyone sincerely unites, helps each other, learns from each other, promotes each other, and develops together. Therefore, in the elevator industry, new international technologies are introduced very quickly and spread quickly. There are also new trends in production methods. Many enterprises no longer follow the path of large and comprehensive, small and comprehensive, and "don't ask for everything". They have professional division of labor, supporting coordination, and interdependence between enterprises. Since this method requires small investment, , high efficiency, good quality, low cost, promising development prospects, and further enhanced the cohesion of the entire industry.
Cultivate an open, fair, competitive and standardized elevator market, continuously introduce and develop the most advanced technologies in the world, improve the management level, manufacturing methods and service quality of elevator companies, and provide users with excellent quality, low prices and considerate services. This is not only our experience in the past 20 years, but also the direction in which we should continue to work hard in the future. Our country is a country with a population of 1.2 billion. There are currently only 335,000 elevators in use. There is indeed a long way to go to achieve the goal of socialist modernization. The huge demand for elevators is a unique opportunity for my country's elevator industry, but the competitive market only provides shares to the stronger ones. This requires us to continuously improve our competitiveness and benefit elevator owners through the law of survival of the fittest, while also benefiting elevator owners. The industry as a whole is optimized.
